Insurance Coverage for Individual Therapy

At our counseling practice, we strive to make therapy accessible and affordable. All of our clinicians are in-network with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and Aetna. In addition, many clinicians are in-network with other insurance providers. We encourage you to check each clinician’s individual page for specific insurance participation, or contact us directly to discuss your coverage and options.

As a courtesy, we verify insurance benefits before beginning services. However, please be aware that insurance companies may provide different or updated information once claims are submitted. Because of this, it is ultimately the client’s responsibility to know and understand their insurance coverage and benefits.

Please note that we do not participate in the Maryland Medicaid Managed Care Program. If you have any questions about your insurance benefits or need assistance verifying coverage, our team is happy to help.

Out of network Benefits for Individual Therapy:

Did you know many insurance plans have out-of-network benefits?

We encourage you to reach out to your insurance company directly to inquire if your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits for individual therapy. If it does, We can provide a Superbill for your session that you may submit to your insurance company for partial or full reimbursement.

Reduced Fee:

We have a few slots open for a needs-based reduction in fee. Eligibility is determined based on a consideration of your financial and therapeutic needs, as well as your therapists current caseload and ability to accommodate the fee reduction.

Payment

We accept all major credit cards and HSA cards as forms of payment. A credit card is required to remain in your file.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
