Stenie Simon, LMSW
Welcome...
I am a licensed social worker in the state of Maryland and currently serve as an EAP Associate Consultant. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland – Baltimore, where I concentrated in health and specialized in both macro and clinical practice with a focus on children and families.
My professional background includes working with school-aged children in social-emotional learning and play therapy, providing outpatient therapy, supporting nonprofit initiatives, and offering services within an employee assistance program. This diverse experience has shaped my holistic, client-centered approach. I strongly believe in meeting individuals where they are and working collaboratively to help them navigate life’s challenges.
In therapy, I support clients managing anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and rooted in mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), among other evidence-based practices. I aim to help clients clarify their values, set meaningful goals, build effective communication skills, and make choices aligned with their authentic selves.
I believe that cultivating self-compassion, practicing mindfulness, and developing personalized coping strategies are key to sustaining emotional well-being. Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults, I strive to provide a safe, supportive space for exploration, healing, and growth.
